SUMATRA ELEPHANT POPULATION CONTINUES TO SHRINK

Seekor Gajah Sumatra (elephas maximus sumatranus) is located in the Tesso Nilo National Park, Riau Province, Tuesday (13/8/2019). WWF-Indonesia’s review suggests that Sumatra’s elephant population is more likely to concern in the last 25 years because it has lost about 70 percent of its habitat, and its population shrinks up to more than half, ranges from 2,400 to 2,800 individuals, because of its habitat continues to shrink and murder that continues to occur.
