KEDIRI, 8/5 - TEBU MANTEN. Bridesmaid dolls from rice flour or commonly called "Peten Tebu" are assembled around Mojopanggung Sugar Plant, Tulungagung, East Java, Saturday (8/5). The ritual of Manten Tebu was held once a year at the opening of the sugar millennial season. The ritual that has become a tradition since the colonial period is almost throughout the sugar plant in Indonesia as a form of syukur for sugar farmers and factory managers because it has entered the millennial season (panen).
