SAMARINDA, 30/5 - RITUAL DAYAK. Deputy Mayor of Samarinda, Syaharie Jaang accompanied a 'dayung' (imam) followed the procession of 'Duu Telli Helung' (mandi Holy Water from heaven) on the ceremony of Adat Dangai by the indigenous tribes Dayak Bahau Busaang, West Kutai which took place in Loa Fruit Village, Kunjang River District, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Sunday (30/5). The ceremony of Adat Dangai is a tradition of the descendants of Dayak tribes, especially from Busaang, Kutai Barat as a procession of social status and as a ritual held a good relationship with the spirit of goodness and nature to preserve the balance of nature.
