JT ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION RESULTS 610

Chairman of the National Committee of Transportation Safety (KNKT) Soerjanto Tjahjono (right) accompanied by Chairman of Sub Committee Investigation of Aviation Accident Nurcahyo Utomo (left) provided the press release of the accidental investigation of Lion Air JT 610 in Jakarta, Friday (25/10/2019). KNKT stated there are nine related factors that cause Lion Air JT 610 accidents in Karawang Waters, West Java on October 29, 2018, including the design and certification of Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft was made assumptions related to pilot reactions to damages that will activate Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS), there is no guidance on MCAS for pilots as well as e.g. calibration on aircraft AOA sensor.
