ORANGUTAN SUBMISSION

PONTIANAK, 24/6 - PEOPLEMENT. A medical officer of International Animal Rescue (IAR), DrH. Hadi Wirawan, examined a Orangutan (Pongo pygmaeus pygmaeus) is 6 months old, while before being submitted to the Natural Resources Conservation Hall (BKSDA) Kalbar in Pontianak, Kalbar, Thursday (24/6). The orangutan submission of the Kapuas Hulu residents facilitated World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) Indonesia Kalbar Program to BKSDA, is a manifestation of public awareness to the preservation of rare animals whose population is increasingly reduced, due to illegal hunt and illegal logging practices.
