TOBACCO PRICES RISE

JEMBER, 2/9 - TEMBAKAU. A workers sunbathing tobacco leaves in the Village of Sumberpinang, Pakusari, Jember, East Java, Thursday (2/9). According to the General Chairman of the Indonesian Tobacco Farm Association (APTI), Abdus Setiawan, tobacco production decreases due to weather anomalies and pest attacks that impact the demand of tobacco and tobacco prices, such as tobacco type of lower leaves from Rp.7000 - Rp. 8000/Kg, tobacco type of quality is from Rp.15,000 - Rp.19.000/Kg.
