SUMATERA ELEPHANT POPULATION
A pawang or mahout riding a benign sumatera elephant in the Tesso Nilo National Park, Riau Province, Saturday (4/7/2020). Based on the data of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, during the period of 2017 to 2019, the population of elephant sumatera (Elephas maximus sumatranus) increased from 611 tails to 693 the best tail of that in the conservation area and also the forest area as well as in the outside region.
