The demand for meat is estimated to rise to 6.5 percent in 2011 due to the consumption of beef rises from 2 kg/capita in 2010 to 2.02/kg/capita in 2011, so the need of consumption increases to 487 thousand tons from the previous year 402 thousand tons.
