JAKARTA, May 8 – MEDIATING CAMBODIA-THAILAND. Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (left) welcomes Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva (right) at Jakarta Convention Center, Sunday, venue of the 18th ASEAN Summit on May 7-8, 2011. With President Yudhoyono as ASEAN chair and facilitator, Cambodian and Thai leaders meet directly for the first time on the sidelines of the summit and discuss ways for solving their border conflict where their militaries have traded gun fires resulting in many people killed on both sides.
