LOPISAN TRADITION
PEKALONGAN, JATENG, 20/10 - LOPISAN TRADITION. People call to get a giant lopis (the traditional food is made of boiled solid rice and wrapped with a banana leaf) weighing 550 kilograms and a height of 185 cm, when the lopisan tradition held every week after Lebaran, in Kampung Krapyak Kidul, Pekalongan, Jateng, Saturday (20/10). The lopisan tradition that has lasted since 1855 was the expression of the gratitude of citizens to the Most Esa God after the completion of the worship of Ramadan’s fasting, Hari Raya Edul Fitri and the fasting of Syawal.
