MONITORING ELEPHANT SUMATRA IN FOREST HOPE

The Sumatran Elephant Monitoring Team (Elephas maximus sumatranus) PT Restoration Ekosystem Indonesia (REKI) installed a trap camera in the concession area of PT REKI, Harapan Forest, Jambi, Kamis (31/3/2022). Regular monitoring for 1-2 weeks in low and surroundingland forests that become home to eight Sumatra’s elephant tails aim to monitor elephant movements, anticipate wild hunts, and as well as conflict mitigation efforts.
