AKHOKOY CULTURAL DANCE FROM YOKIWA

Akhokoy dancers are ready to perform in Papua Bangkit, Jayapura Regency, Papua, Wes (21/4/2022). Akhokoy dance originated from Kampung Adat Yokiwa on the edge of Lake Sentani has a meaning of raising the magnitude of the Ondoafi figure or the People’s respected Custom Head and reflecting the joy of three tribes of the inhabitants of Yokiwa, among other tribes of Awoitauw, the Fiobetauw tribe, as well as the Mimitauw tribe.
