JAKARTA, 12/10 - DEFORESTATION. Greenpeace Indonesia's Georgraphic Information System (GIS) expert Kiki Taufik explains deforestation in Sumatra during a press conference in Jakarta, October 12, 2011. Environment activists from Greenpeace, Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi) -- Riau and Jambi province, and Indonesian Conservation Community (KKI Warsi) who took part in the "Mata Harimau" or Eye of the Tiger tour in Sumatra, including the Senepis forest, Rokan Hilir, Tesso Nilo, and Bukit Tigapuluh (the Thirty Hills), found evidence of destruction in the natural forests and peatlands, which are also homes for Sumatran tigers.
