GEMPA BUMI PERFECT IN MOROTAI PULAU
BMKG’s officers monitor the development of the magnitudo 6,8-strength tektonic earthquakes that shake the North Maluku’s Morotai Island area through the monitoring of the location of the earthquake point center in the Ternate City Geophysics Station, North Maluku, Friday (24/2/2023). The tektonik earthquake that occurs at 05:02 WIT is due to the subduction activity of the Philippine sea plate which is 133 Km away from the Sea of the village of Daruba North Maluku island of Morotai Maluku with a depth of reaching 112 km and does not potentially tsunami so that society in the area is requested to remain calm and alert.
