The location of the earthquake center in North Maluku

BMKG officers show the magnitudo 5,9 magnitudo earthquake center location that shakes the South Halmahera West Beach region through the monitor screen, at the Ternate City Geophysics Station BMKG Office, North Maluku, Monday (15/5/2023). The tektonik earthquake that occurs at 00.32 WIT due to the subduction activity of the Maluku sea plate which is 55 km west direction of Daya Ternate with a depth of 113 km and is felt in Manado City, Kotamobagu, Bitung and does not potentially tsunami so that the community in the area is requested to remain calm and alert.
