The Ministry of Agriculture recorded the production of sugars in the National East Java which reached 17.362.620 tons in 2022, the production of sugar as much as 1.192.034 tons or 49.55 percent of the production of sugar in Indonesia, while the productivity of farmers' sugar canal land was recorded at 5.46 tons per hectare.
