Increased status of Mount Lokon

Fire mountain observation post officers observe the potential map of the squad of Tompaluan Gunung Lokon in Tomohon, North Sulawesi, Thursday (20/7/2023). The Observation post of Mount Lokon Center of Vulkanology and the Mitigation of Geological Disasters (PVMBG) recorded an increase in the seismic activity of Gunung Lokon in the last month and raises its status from Level II Was to Level III Siaga as well as gives an appeal to local governments to reduce human activity at a radius of 2.5 km from the crater.
