Areal rice fields shrink in Padang

A number of farmers moving rice seeds in Kuranji rice fields, Padang, West Sumatra, Saturday (26/8/2023). Based on the data of the Padang Agricultural Office, during the last seven years the rice fields in the city continue to experience the shrinkage of 1.218 ha, which is from 6.418 ha to 5.200 ha in 2023 along with the increasing number of residents who then appeal to the function of the rice fields into housing or settlement.
