National rice productivity rise
Farmer harvested rice in Binangga Village, Sigi, Central Sulawesi, Saturday (11/11/2023). Although it is estimated to occur a decrease in rice production in 2023 due to the phenomenon of El Nino, but the Central Agency of Statistics (BPS) recorded a thin increase in national average productivity of rice, namely from 5.24 tons per hectaree at 2022 to be 5.26 tons per hectaree for 2023 although the figure is still under the productivity of Vietnamese rice by 6 tons per hectare.
