Sumatran elephant died in West Aceh
BKSDA Aceh’s officer is near the Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatrensis) before the process of necropsis or surgery in Lancong Village forest, Sungaimas, West Aceh, Aceh, Wednesday (20/12/2023). The five-year-old female elephant surgery is carried out to take a number of organ samples in the elephant's body such as intestinal liquids, limpa, liver, blood, intestinal cuts, hearts, and impurities for laboratory tests to facilitate the process of investigation of the cause of death.
