Folk mine on Obi island

A mine labor destroys the material (batu rep) containing gold to be inserted into the tromol in the People's Mining of Anggai Village, Obi District, South Halmahera District, North Maluku, Sunday (7/1/2024). The mine began to operate since 1996 it has the permit of the People’s Mining Area with a gold processing system using a tromol that was able to produce 10 grams of gold every time grinding and until now the people’s gold mine is still producing as well as the livelihood of some citizens in Anggai Village.
