Increased status of Mount Marapi

People make a video call while pointing the Marapi Mountain that issued volcanic ash visible from Nagari Batu Palano, Agam, West Sumatra, Wednesday (10/1/2024). The Center of Vulcanology and Mitigasi Disaster Geology (PVMBG) Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reported the status of Gunung Marapi is now rising to level III or standby, with recommendations are prohibited from entering or engaging in the area of radius 4,5 kilometers from the center of eruption (c verbal center).
