Minister ESDM reviewing the development of Freeport smelter in Gresik

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Arifin Tasrif (left) accompanied by Dirjen Minerba Letjen TNI (Purn) Bambang Suswantono (mid) and Vice President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) Jenpino Ngabdi (right) was established when reviewing the construction of the Freeport smelter project in Java Integrated and Industrial Port Estate (KEK JIIPE), Gresik, East Java, Thursday (29/2/2024). In the visit of the Minister of ESDM Arifin Tasrif said Smelter PTFI is ready to operate in June 2024 and become the largest Smelter copper with Single Line Design in the world that can purify the copper concentrate with a capacity of 1.75 million tons as well as copper cathode up to 600.000 tons per year.
