The museum that was inaugurated by President of the 2nd President of Indonesia Soeharto on April 20th, 1997 was aimed at displaying Islam as the nation’s union of various ethnicities in Indonesia as well as displaying the face of Indonesia as one of the world’s largest Muslim-leading countries.
