ASH VOLCANIC MARAPI

AGAM, 19/6 - ABU VULKANIK MARAPI. Mount Marapi which has a height of 2.891 meters above sea level (mdpl) issued volcanic ash visible in Jorong Koto Tuo, Nagari Balai Gurah, Ampek Angkek District, Agam Regency, Sumbar, Tuesday (19/6). Mount Merapi Observation Post Data Center of Vulcanology and the Mitigation of Geological Disasters (PVMBG) at Bukittinggi, said the status of marapi is still at the level II, and prohibits the community to climb the mountain.
