SALARY ONE SURO

TEMANGGUNG, 9/1 - CEREMONY. Residents prepares 57 kinds of offerings for the traditional ceremony "Satu Suro", commemorating the New Year in Javanese calendar in Temanggung, Central Java province, January 9, 2008. "Satu Suro" means the first of Suro contains sacred meanings to Janavese people, and thus they perform a ritual to pray to God to give them goodness throughout the year.
