Mount Lewotobi's activity is still high

A number of evacuees watch the incandescent lava and smoke column coming out of the crater of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki at the self-help evacuation site in the hills of Pululera Village, Wulanggitang, East Flores Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Monday (11/11/2024) evening. The Center for Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation (PVMBG) of the Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reported that as of Tuesday (13/11) morning, Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki was still erupting with an ash column height of 3,500-4,000 meters and continued to emit lava to the northwest.
