MOUNTAINS
KEDIRI, 3/2 - KELUD. A thick smoke bursts out from the crater of Mount Kelud’s son in Kediri, February 3, 2008. It is estimated that the diameter of the crater reached 400 meters and the volume increased 8 meter/second. Indonesia’s Center for Volcanology and Mitigation of Geological Disasters (PVMBG) stated that the mountain is currently on Alert (2nd level) due to its volcanic activities of 1,676 earthquakes in the last three days.
