PADI PRODUCTION TARGET

JOMBANG, 26/1- TARGET PRODUCTS PADI. A peasant peer lays fertilizer in Ngrandu Lor Village rice fields, Peterongan District, Jombang, East Java, Saturday (26/1). The East Java Provincial Government (Jatim), this year targets the production of the Jatim rice can reach 12,512 million tons of Giling Dry Valley (GKG). The target rises from the production realization of padi throughout 2012 which reached 12.043 million tons. If the padi production target is 1,512 million tons equivalent to 8,133 million tons of rice can be reached, then in this year Jatim will experience 4,657 million tons of rice surplus due to the consumption of Jatim people reaches 3t,475 million.
