Workers check 8 inch steel pipe type electric resistant welding (ERW) in the production unit of PT. KHI Pipe Industries, subsidiary of PT. Krakatau Steel Tbk, in Cilegon, Banten, Wednesday (29/5). PT. KHI added a production capacity of 150 million tons to make a type of electric resistant welding steel pipe (ERW) with a diameter of 10 inchi to 20 inchi to capture the growth of market opportunities related to the development of gas and oil pipelines in Asia including also the MRT and monorail development plan in a large number of cities that will require supporting pipeline networks.
