MIDDLE ACEH EARTHQUAKE

The west wall of Mount Merapi Burni Telong with a height of 2,600 m dpl experienced longsor due to the high earthquake shock of Gayo Bener Meriah and Central Aceh, Aceh. Wednesday (10/7). The Center of Vulkanology and Mitigasi Disaster Geology (PVMBG) declared a 6,2 SR earthquake that shakes Gayo Bener Meriah and Central Aceh, it is not due to the activity of the volcano Burni Telong, but due to the shift of the Sumatran slab, precisely in the Semangko market.
