SUGAR PRODUCTION ONDRONGAN

Workers made red sugar from tebu (gula ondrongan) for sale to the factory stamp at the price of Rp. 7,000 per kilogram in Sukolilo village, Malang, East Java, Monday (29/7). The decreased sugar canal rendement is still high rainfall when harvesting makes the production of traditional ondrongan sugar in the region falls from 1 ton to 6 mattals per day so that it is not able to meet the increasing demand.
