TEBU BRIDE

KARANGANYAR, 11/5 - SUGAR CANE RITUAL. Men wearing Javanese traditional clothes carry "Tebu Manten" or Sugar Cane Bride and Groom at Tasikmadu Sugar Factory as part of the traditional ritual "Cembengan" in Karanganyar, Central Java May 11, 2007. During the ritual, the sugar canes were decorated and treated like a bride and a groom. The ritual was held to mark the beginning of the 2007 sugar cane refine season.
