TO VISIT THE LEADING ISLAND

The Minister of Health of Indonesia, Nafsiah Mboi reviewed health service facilities in Puskesmas Island Back Padang, Batam, bordering Singapore, Wednesday (12/8). In his visit, Menkes emphasized the importance of increased role of puskesmas as a preventive element (preventive) in public health services, although for archipelago, some puskesmas has the facilities of the Emergency Gawat Unit (RS), the inpatient wards, doctors, and polyclinics so that it can play as a take-up of treatment actions due to the absence of hospitals on small islands.
