BRICK ENDEMIC FLORA INVENTORY

Plant experts from Indonesia’s Botanical Garden Foundation, Karen Tambayong demonstrated the diversity of the types of Batam Island’s endoemic plants in Batam’s Botanical Gardens, Wednesday (27/8). According to Karen, Batam Island has hundreds of unique types of plants that are endangered because the island is classified as young lands that are susceptible and only have a thin layer of fertile soil on the surface.
