EVACUATION INHIBITED WEATHER

KRI Sultan Hasanuddin-366 crew held a visual observation when looking for the QZ8501 AirAsia aircraft falling in Karimata Strait, Wednesday (31/12). The search was inhibited the weather due to rain accompanied by a high wave of 4-5 meters and a distance that ranges from 15 meters causing the SAR Team difficulty looking for accident location. KRI Sultan Hasanuddin managed to evacuate a male genazah in the position about 80 Nautical Miles (NM) of the last position of the aircraft was declared lost or 50 NM of Tanjung Kelapa, Central Kalimantan.
