LAPINDO MUD

PORONG, SIDOARJO, 28/5 - LAPINDO MUD. An aerial view of Sidoarjo which was submerged with hot mud of PT Lapindo Brantas Inc. on June 9, 2006 (above) and May 27, 2007. A year after the city was submerged with the mud, the mudflow has not yet been able to stop despite many efforts had been taken, and residents are still waiting for the certainty of the compensation payment from Lapindo.
