RITUALS OF THE EARTH

A number of citizens carry tenong contains their earth’s food in the event of the earth in Karangjati Village, Susukan, Banjarnegara, Central Java, Friday (23/10). A total of 1000 tenongs and 111,000 tairs are made and shared villagers to commemorate the occasions of the earth every month of Suro in the prosperity of Java as a form of respect to God and nature in order to avoid prolonged dryness.
