GOLD MATERIAL MINING

A number of miners still transport soil materials containing gold using motorcycles from illegal mining areal in Gunung Botak area, Buru Island district, Maluku, Tuesday (17/11). The Combined team stops illegal mining activity and issued thousands of miners and closes the 250-hectares of botak mines as it has severe environmental damage due to the use of mercury and cyanide since 2011.
