PEATLAND RESTORATION ACTION

Head of Peat Restoration Agency (BRG) Nazir Foead (second left) along the President Director of Teten Masduki (second right), Presidential Special Staff of Communication Department Johan Budi (right) and Secretary BRG Hartono (left) explained the implementation of peat lagan restoration action as forest and land fire solutions, in Jakarta, Thursday (31/3). The Foead distinguishes the cost needed to recover land (restoration) peat around Rp12 million per hectare. The restoration action of peatland is targeted at four districts of 800 thousand hectares with the details of hydrological restoration activities include the shortening and planting of the canal, not include peat revetigation.
