ORANGUTAN HUNGER

One of the two female Orangutans (pongo pygmaeus wurmbii) in the tree in the Katingan River forest, Muara Moon Village, Mendawai District, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan, Wednesday (18/5). According to locals, in recent days there are two orangutans that look skinny and hungry on the tree and busy peeling the tree skin to take the ambium (the layer of meristematic tissue) from the Tilap tree to eat.
