LEVA SEASON

LAMALERA, 1/5 - MUSIM LEVA. A descendant of the Lamalera land from Wujon family sings gongs while running rituals inviting the Pope's Fish spirit, in Gunung Ben Betang, Lamalera, Lembata Island, NTT, Friday (1/5). This ritual was held in the implementation of the Mass Arwah at the Lamalera coastal suburbs relating to the beginning of the Leva season (worn whale) which became the tradition of the oldlera society since hundreds of years ago.
