BIODIESEL FROM FRIED OIL WASTE
Professor Lieke poured the waste of used fried oil (jelantah) into the reactor tube to be processed into biodiesel in Surabaya University, Surabaya, East Java, Monday (27/2). The biodiesel manufacturing process of scrap fried oil waste and it has been patented using ozonation technology involving ozonolysis reactions as well as transesterification with biodiesel results as much as 87.23 percent of 100 percent scrap fried oil waste.
