DENPASAR, 18/3 - NYEPI. Balinese Hindus carry the effigy called "Ogoh-Ogoh" during the night of "Pengerupukan", commemorating Nyepi (silent day) in Denpasar, Bali, March 18, 2007. Thousands of effigies which represent "Bhuta Kala" or the evil are carried round the villages and towns in Bali to erase negative environment in the universe, so that Hindu worshippers can carry out the holy day of Nyepi in sacred.
