LOCALIZATION OF WIRE ROD AND DOMESTIC WIRE

Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto (right), witnessing President Director of PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk Mas Wigrantoro Roes Setiyadi (center) and Board Director Sango Corporation Hashiguchi Tomoya, signed a localized work script of wire rod and domestic wire for automotive applications, in Jakarta, Friday (15/12). This partnership is an effort to raise local content for the needs of automotive steel, which will impact the country’s devisa savings about 24 million US Dollars per year, while Krakatau Steel itself targets to raise wire rod production to 400.000 tons per year in 2021, from the previous capacity reached 350,000 tons.
