RUPIAH EXCHANGE RATE

The Governor of BI Agus Martowardojo (the middle) accompanied by Executive Directors of the Department of Communications Agusman (left) and Deputy Governor Erwin Rijanto (right) submitted the exposure to the development of the exchange rate against the US dollar in Jakarta, Thursday (26/4). BI represents the depreciation of Rupiah that occurs more due to the strengthening of the US dollar currency against almost all the world currency which is the impact of continuing the increase in yield of UST (the US bond interest book) to reach 3.03%, but the Indonesian economic fundamental is in a strong condition because the inflation is still in accordance with the range of 3.5+1% and the transaction deficit is lower than the safe limit of 3% PDB.
