EVACUATION OF SUMATRA ORANGUTANS

Seekor sumatra orangutan (Pongo abelii) is checked when evacuation process by the Ecosystem Lestari-Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme (YEL-SOCP) and BKSDA Aceh in Geulagang Gajah Village, Kuala Bate, Aceh Barat Daya, Aceh, Friday (3/8). The 15-year-old female orangutan was evacuated after the terisolir in the palm plantation of the citizen. YEL-SOCP since 2010 until August 2018 has evacuated as many as 27 orangutans in Aceh.
