POLYETHYLENE MILL EXPANSION CAP

A number of active workers in the new Polyethylene (PE) factory development area of 400 thousand tons per year in the integrated petrochemical complex PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (CAP) in Cilegon, Banten, Tuesday (18/6/2019). As the high demand of PE in the domestic market reached 1.4 million tons per year and currently 45 percent is supplied by imported products, the Government provides tax-free facilities for the investment of new PE mills worth US$380 million belonging to the CAP to increase the production of PE from 336 thousand tons to 736 thousand tons per year so it is expected to reduce dependence on imports.
