MICROALGA BASED BIOTECH INDUSTRY

The officer examined one of the tools in Photo Bio Reactor (PBR) where alga was bred by the inauguration of microalga-based biotech industries by the Minister of Health Nila F. Moeloek in Kaliwungu, Kendal, Central Java, Thursday (25/7/2019). PT. Evergen Resources is the first biotech industry in Indonesia that develops microalga cultivation with the first product namely Astaxanthin antioxidant active ingredient that can be utilized for cosmetics and supplements with a 500 kilogram production target of a month to meet the ekpor to the American, Japanese and Korean state and support the government’s efforts to realize the independence of pharmaceutical availability raw materials.
