Not many people know if in Dago, Bandung, there is a special production house to make ukulele music tools. The production house named Mahardika Instrument established by Andy Mahardika in 2014.
Different from other production houses, Mahardika Instrument provides custom ukulelele making as customer desires. The service that makes Mahardika Instrument in demand by collectors even artists from foreigners. Andy produced Ukulele is made of various types of wood, such as mahoni, sonokeling, mango tree, and trembesi.
For this time Andy-made ukulelele has been sold to many countries, such as America, Holland, Israel, Iran, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Singapore. Andy marketed his ukulelele only through social media and the pages of Mahardika Instrument at the price of Rp700 thousand to Rp15 million depending on the difficulty rate and materials used.

The existence of Mahardika Instrument with the ukulelele of Andy’s hand processed results that the world is in line with the government’s program, the National Movement of Indonesia’s Artificial Bangga. The movement aims to encourage people’s economic activity to be proud to buy and consume Indonesian-made products.
Support also flows from the West Java Provincial Government in cooperation with the Ministry of Cooperative and SMEs who will help promote about 15 thousand of SMEs in West Java with potential buyers reaching 21 million people.
It is expected that, with the program, SMEs in West Java will come back up and compete in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemi in the world.
